Media language

1) How are the cover lines written to make the audience want to buy the magazine?
- The cover lines use sans serif to give the connotation of friendliness

2) What are the connotations of the Heat colour scheme on this particular front cover?
Pink, yellow, and red connotes friendly, informa while also standing out and being feminine to appeal to the 90% female audience.

- The common colors used are pink, yellow, and red, suggesting femininity, warmth, brightness, and a welcoming attitude toward the reader.

- Tatler appeals to a more formal audience compared to Heat, which is considered more lowbrow and often enjoyed as a guilty pleasure.

In Heat magazine, social class is shown as a place where everyone feels safe and equal. In Tatler magazine, social class is portrayed as a place where people have to follow certain rules to fit in.
